Audio Forms with Brodie Giles
Sundays 11 pm to 1 am

Discovered deep in the redwood forests of northern California living with a family of bears, Brodie Giles learned his love of music from the resonant qualities of discarded bone fragments he used to rub against river stones and the occasional complete skull. Upon discovering electricity, Giles transferred his knowledge of resonant frequencies to the synthesizer, spending hours experimenting with wavelengths and samples; the only light is a small television playing a thirty second clip from Blade Runner. Such Vangelis dreams were disturbed by a brief foray into the more primal rhythms of punk drumming with California's The Wobblies. Even the raw power of floor tom rolls was not enough to satisfy Giles' need for tone, though, and he quickly moved to a more satisfying and intricate roll as the bass player in a slimmed down three-piece. After the untimely demise of The Wobblies, Giles set out on his own to dominate the Northern California cyber-goth set, pioneering a California twist on the Manchester sound in his show Audio Forms.
